INDEPENDENT OR HIGH STREET NATIONAL BRAND?
Depending on your personality type, you might find that you are you more suited to an independent, boutique style agency with a small team.
You might have a goal of being an owner of a recruitment agency one day. Or you could be a manager with a with a hands-on approach, where you are given autonomy to develop and grow your desk with bespoke personal training and be part of their success story.
Or you might prefer to be part of a well-known recognisable national high street brand who’s name itself opens doors with a wide network of peers and a structured training development plan.
TEMPS OR PERMS?
The idea of running a busy temp desk, where you are working in a fast paced, high volume, quick turn-around environment with immediate results, could sound heavenly to you. Or you might prefer to focus on permanent recruitment where attention to detail and a more in-depth recruitment process is required.

Are you a strong BLUE or a mix of YELLOW and RED, or a laid-back GREEN?
BLUE
BLUES are business savvy, polished, and commercially aware. They have a thorough understanding of the corporate business world and a good understanding of the skills and attributes required for office type roles.
BLUES tend to be deep thinkers and a very detailed focussed, with very good time management skills and organisational skills.
The best place for BLUES to recruit is within business support, HR, Accountancy and Finance, Marketing roles, Legal or Executive search.
RED
REDS feel more comfortable working in a fast-paced sector, they have high energy, are competitive, enjoy informal banter, and fast paced thinkers.
The best place for REDS is working with high volume engineering and manufacturing companies, within logistics, in the industrial sector or construction, working alongside builders or factory workers.
GREEN
GREENS are seen to be laid back, relaxed and patient. If you are GREEN you’ll find that you are very easy to get along with, democratic, very understanding and agreeable, and wear your heart of your sleeve.
The best place for GREENS could be within IT and Tech.
If you know the difference between a computer programmer, a software engineer and a data analyst then being a Technical Recruiter could be for you! Technical recruiters are a rare breed and if you want to earn some real money and are a techy whiz then this is the sector for you.
YELLOW
YELLOWS can be considered the life and soul of the party. They are sociable, expressive, and very imaginative. They tend to be informal, very optimistic and at times let their imaginations run away with them.
If you are a yellow you might find that you don’t want the details, just the facts are fine. YELLOWS tend to be very relationship focused so a place within the Education sector, finding supply teachers for busy schools could be perfect for you!
MULTICOLOURED
Okay, so we did say we had a quadrant of colours but there is another section that you might sit in if any of the above doesn’t sound like you, or you’re a mix of one and another (or all four). You could be MULTICOLOURED.
You might find a role within the healthcare and social care sector, dealing with nurses and carers with varied shift pattern within a sector that has huge staffing demands is perfect for you. OR even working in a specific area of specialism, such as within the scientific sector, could suit.
Basically, you guys can fit in almost anywhere!
